Merger of the IT College and the Tallinn University of Technology

Information Technology Foundation for Education and the Tallinn University of Technology entered into the contract on 16 November 2016 for merger of the Estonian Information Technology College and the Tallinn University of Technology. In connection with the merger on 1 August 2017, also the legal address of HITSA changed.

As of August 01, 2017, the Estonian IT College is the structural unit IT College of the School of Information of the Tallinn University of Technology.

The common goal of the merger of the educational institutions is to bring the first level of ICT studies into a unified whole by combining the implementing nature and flexibility of the Estonian IT College with the academic and scientific potential of Tallinn University of Technology providing thus the students wider choice of applied or academic orientation and increasing the quality and quantity of graduates.

According to the Law of Obligations Act ยง 180 (1) and (2), all rights and obligations of the Estonian IT College of the Information Technology Foundation for Education were transferred to the Tallinn University of Technology (including contracts) as of August 01, 2017.

With regard to the merger of the IT College and the TUT, also the legal address of HITSA will change, and hereby we ask you to use the new address on all invoices, contracts and other documents: Akadeemia tee 21/1, 12618 Tallinn.
