The largest European research and education networking conference TNC19 is taking place in Tallinn Creative Hub from 16th to 20th of June. The conference brings to Estonia experts from IT field from all over the world. The local host of the conference is EENet of HITSA.
TNC19 brings to Estonia nearly 800 experts from IT field. The opening plenary will take place on Monday at 11 am.
Key speakers are cybersecurity expert Merike Käo, Founder and CEO of UbuntuNet Tusu Tusubira, Director General of the European Spallation Source (ESS) John Womersley, Government CIO of Estonia Siim Sikkut and information technology scientist Linnar Viik.
This year’s conference theme, Forging Digital Societies, is inspired by two main concepts: the idea that computer networks, by supporting human interactions, help to create and forge digital societies is combined with the innovative model of Estonia’s e-residency programme.

Information Technology Foundation for Education (HITSA) is a foundation established by the Republic of Estonia, the University of Tartu, Tallinn University of Technology, Eesti Telekom and the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications. The role of the HITSA is to ensure that the graduates at all levels of education have obtained digital skills necessary for the development of economy and society and the possibilities offered by ICT are skilfully used in teaching and learning, which helps improve the quality of learning and teaching at all levels of education.
